In honour of her shows with the Peggy Lee Band in Toronto last night and at the Guelph Jazz Festival tonight, and in defense against the encroaching dread of mortality brought on by the perishing of summer and the coming of autumn, here’s Mary Margaret O’Hara singing “Don’t Be Afraid” by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, from the 1996 Weill tribute album September Songs, produced by Hal Willner.
